Oratorium is a 7-day master course for orchestra and choir that provides a Christ-centered model of excellence in music making for young Romanian professional musicians. Rehearsals and performances led by international professionals provide a positive and creative professional musical environment and encourage participants to learn how to bridge the divide between their Christian faith and their careers.

The 2010 project will take place July 18-25 and will bring together approximately 50 professional musicians. The repertoire for the project’s second year will allow us to explore the spiritual and stylistic features of the music of J.S. Bach:

Orchestra suite No. 3 in D Major, BWV 1068
Two motets:
Fürchte dich nicht, BWV 228
Komm, Jesus, komm! BWV 229
The Magnificat in D Major, BWV 243

Rehearsals will take place in Cluj-Napoca, followed by three concerts: in Cluj-Napoca, Timişoara and Bucureşti.
